I've created this blog as a scriptural book group for the family. The idea is that, at the beginning of the month, we can choose a book of scripture or gospel question to study, and throughout the month we can share our ideas and discoveries. Just click on the "Questions to Ponder" tab and click on a forum topic or start a new one.
The inspiration for this came from talking with Dad about his latest Sunday School class and missing the focus in my own scripture study that came from being a Gospel Doctrine teacher. I thought: if only I had a small group of extremely bright people who I trust with my deepest concerns and profoundest insights... we could make the ultimate scripture study group. The kind of group you always wished Institute or Sunday School would be.
We already do this to some extent (especially Dad), just in the course of our normal conversations. Turning these discussions into a forum opens the discussion up the whole family and creates a permanent place to store our ideas, insights, and outside sources.
